Exploring Post-Graduation Pathways

From November to December 2025, our school organized a five-day series of visits facilitated by the Social Work Department for parents of secondary students. By leading parents to personally visit seven different post-graduation service providers, we aimed to help them gain early insights into diverse transition options, enabling them to walk alongside their children and jointly plan for their future career development. Over the past two months, we led parents on an in-depth exploration of seven diverse institutions and units, including: • Four Social Enterprises affiliated with our organization: iBakery Gallery Café, CookEasy, U Deli (The Education University of Hong Kong), and TWGHs WashEasy. These visits allowed parents to experience the operational models of social enterprises firsthand. • Two Integrated Vocational Training Centres: Caritas Lok Mo Integrated Vocational Training Centre and Hong Chi Pinehill Integrated Vocational Training Centre, where parents learned about professional skills training. • Multi-service Organization: St. James' Settlement Jockey Club Social Services Building, providing detailed information on sheltered workshops, upcycling centres, and supported employment services. Through these on-site inspections, parents not only gained a concrete concept of post-graduation transitions but were also inspired to support their children in self-improvement during daily life, ensuring they meet the requirements of their preferred career paths. Starting in 2026, the Social Work Department will continue to walk with parents by organizing more visits to introduce various post-graduation services and training programs.
